1 Hear my crying, O God, ♦︎
and listen to my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth I call to you with fainting heart; ♦︎
O set me on the rock that is higher than I.
3 For you are my refuge, ♦︎
a strong tower against the enemy.
4 Let me dwell in your tent for ever ♦︎
and take refuge under the cover of your wings.
5 For you, O God, will hear my vows; ♦︎
you will grant the request of those who fear your name.
6 You will add length of days to the life of the king, ♦︎
that his years may endure throughout all generations.
7 May he sit enthroned before God for ever; ♦︎
may steadfast love and truth watch over him.
8 So will I always sing praise to your name, ♦︎
and day by day fulfil my vows.
1 The Lord is king: let the peoples tremble; ♦︎
he is enthroned above the cherubim: let the earth shake.
2 The Lord is great in Zion ♦︎
and high above all peoples.
3 Let them praise your name, which is great and awesome; ♦︎
the Lord our God is holy.
4 Mighty king, who loves justice,
you have established equity; ♦︎
you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
5 Exalt the Lord our God; ♦︎
bow down before his footstool, for he is holy.
6 Moses and Aaron among his priests
and Samuel among those who call upon his name; ♦︎
they called upon the Lord and he answered them.
7 He spoke to them out of the pillar of cloud; ♦︎
they kept his testimonies and the law that he gave them.
8 You answered them, O Lord our God; ♦︎
you were a God who forgave them
and pardoned them for their offences.
9 Exalt the Lord our God
and worship him upon his holy hill, ♦︎
for the Lord our God is holy.

10 According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building on it. Each builder must choose with care how to build on it. 11For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ. 12Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw 13the work of each builder will become visible, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each has done. 14If what has been built on the foundation survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15If the work is burned, the builder will suffer loss; the builder will be saved, but only as through fire.
16 Do you not know that you are Gods temple and that Gods Spirit dwells in you?* 17If anyone destroys Gods temple, God will destroy that person. For Gods temple is holy, and you are that temple.
